Extended Tummy Tuck, Breast Lift and Hernia Repair January 2020
Patient Insight leading up to the procedure
“I am a 43 year old mother of 3 (a single birth in 2013 and twins in 2014) and I am having the first round of my procedures on January 23, 2020. My first round will be an extended tummy tuck, hernia repair, and breast lift. I am beyond excited and nervous for my surgeries.
“I interviewed 4 surgeons in my area, spoke to countless people online and in person to gather any and all information I could on doctors and outcomes and joined a few plastic surgery support groups on FB to make sure I was a informed as possible when choosing my surgeon. Dr. Shuster was the 3rd in line for me to meet with and after meeting with him, and Nicole, his coordinator, I knew in my gut that he was who I was going to choose to go with. I still met with the 4th doctor to make my comparisons but Shuster and his team set the bar so high that there really wasn't a comparison to be made.
“Dr. Shuster is so down to earth, funny, caring, professional, and extremely brilliant at what he does. He made me feel so comfortable in our consult, answered all my million questions and was very honest about what to expect result wise and what I could do in the meantime to help us as a team reach the best results possible.
"Nicole was super warm and friendly. Dr. Shuster was a tad bit more expensive than the other doctors I interviewed but I didn't really let that affect my decision.
"I had to trust my instincts on who I felt was going to truly listen to me, guide me in the right direction and take the best care of me post op. Hands down I knew it would it be Shuster and his team. For my hernia repair we needed a general surgeon to come on board and when the first GS I went to told me he was too busy at his home hospital to travel to the hospital that Shuster works out of for the hernia repair, I immediately called Nicole and she took care of finding me a new GS to go see. She didn't just give me a name and phone #, she took the time to call the GS office personally and confirm their privileges at the hospital, confirm that this new GS's operating schedule lined up with Shusters schedule and of course that they took my insurance. When it was my time to call the GS, his staff already knew who I was and what I was calling for.
"This kind of customer service and feeling taken care of was exactly what I was looking for and needing. Shuster's office continues to go above and beyond in calming my nerves and cheering me on along this journey.
“I will be staying 2 nights in the hospital for my aftercare due to the ages of my children and I am actually relieved to do so. I will be sure to come back on and post an update after I come home and feel up to sitting and typing for a while.
